About Kat

Hi! I’m Kat. In 2023, I moved from Boston to Curaçao in hopes of never having to experience another freezing cold winter again. My husband and our two dogs came along, of course, and since then we’ve called this island our home.

Farahilde means “traveling female warrior” and I couldn’t have picked a better name to represent who I strive to be. I’ve traveled around the world since I was a little girl, and now hunkered down in the Caribbean I share both my experience living in Curaçao as well as my current travel adventures. Yes, I still travel around the world!

Back at the movies! This time I’ll show you guys what the VIP experience looks like at The Movies Punda. It was full of ups and downs, but I’m grateful for it all. Tomorrow will be my third Christmas in Curaçao, and I have to say I’ve been loving spending the holiday in warm weather. That time I was in St. Barths and this was the view from my room (private pool and all). I absolutely love St. Barths for shopping, amazing dining, dancing, sandy beaches, and just an all around good time. If you’re in panic mode that Christmas is just around 2 weeks away and you STILL don’t have any travel plans, this post is for you.
